Hello list I am Julie Nicholls from Norfolk researching members of KEEGAN family who moved to Sheffield from Hull in late 19thC. I am revisiting the list and wonder if there is anyone out there who could tell me whether the above address in Pitsmoor would have been a private house in 1917 or an institution? A relative of mine was born there but another address was given as the residence of her mother. Many thanks in anticipation. Julie

Hi Julie. Smilter Lane was (roughly) where the workhouse and children's homes were.
