hello Pauline, A good place to look for information about Registration Districts is GenUKI. This page, http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/rotherham.html , lists Brampton under the Rotherham R.D. and the different volume numbers used over time are noted at the top. I can't find a mention of a Brampton near Leeds though?! It's not, as far as I can see, in the 'Where is it in Yorkshire?' index http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/Misc/Where/index.html, ...or in the England and Wales placenames index http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/places/index.htm .
