Sorry, I should have specified York West riding for place of trial Tracey Hi List, I am new to this list and i am researching William WOODCOCK who is my 4xgreat grandfather. William was b abt 1797 according to his convict papers his native place is Sheffield He was tried and convicted at the York quarter sessions on the 30th April 1821 for breaking into a counting house and was subsequently transported to Australia. My query is where do i go to find more information on this gentleman And what possible records would be available and as he was convicted in York is prehaps a diferent mailing list more appropriate?
