Greetings All! Gordon has now "retired" from List Admining and I'm sure that we all wish him all the best for the future. His management of the ENG- SHEFFIELD list over the years has enabled so many to find the families they've been looking for - thank you Gordon for all you have done. And me? I'm not from Sheffield, or even Yorkshire, but my wife is. She was born in Sheffield, and spent her early years in that part of Yorkshire which has moveable boundaries with north east Derbyshire! I hail from Derbyshire. We've lived most of our lives in southern Africa, returning to live in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a few years ago. I'm not new to List Admining, having helped with the Derbyshire (DERBYSGEN) list for a number of years, as well as Admining the AFR- ZWE (Zimbabwe including Rhodesia) and SPENCER-UK Lists. My wife's interests are in the CHAPMANs and WHALEYs who also lived in Sheffield, or close by. Most appear to have roots back in Derbyshire. You probably won't notice any changes now that I've taken over from Gordon - the alterations I make will only affect the reports that I receive when member's ISPs misbehave and bounce mail. I do, however, enjoy a List where posts stay on topic, and will mostly stay in the background, but will always be here if I'm needed. So, again Gordon, all the best for 2008.
