    3. Hello Cy Do you know where Myrtle Street was? If it was near Myrtle Rd then that was Heeley and the Catholic church which served that area was St Wilfred's Shoreham Street. There was a school next to it which was destroyed in the Sheffield Blitz. My mother went there in the 1920s am not certain that it was there 40 years earlier. The school that I attended was St. Marie's RC on Edmund Rd. I believe that when it was first built in Victorian times it was an all boys school run by de la Salle brothers but later became co-ed under Notre Dame sisters. There was also a community of Little Sisters of the Poor further up the hill towards Arbourthorne but I think they were more involved with health than education.Hope there may be something of help there. best wishes in your search Julie Nicholls Researching KEEGAN (Sheffield late 19/early 20thC & Dublin 19thC)
