Hello Susan, Is this Warris family that of Ben Warris the 1940/50s comedian? Just idle curiosity really, I'm afraid - the auntie of his partner, Jimmy Jewel, used to live across the street from us in South View Road. I remember they kept pet monkeys loose in one of the bedrooms and a chimpanzee in a cage in their living room. It makes me weep to think of the poor, sad creature. K

I don't know if it's the same family or not - there seem to be a number of Warris's in the Sheffield area. Right now I'm only looking for info about Thomas in the early 1800's.
