Hi list I have another query that I hope someone can help with. On the 1861 census a relative was living on Barnsley Road, Sheffield at "Pass Houses". Does anyone know what these were. I have tried googling without success. Regards June Sheffield

Hi June, Just thought that you might be interested that some of my GUITE relatives lived at Pass Houses in the nineteenth century, certainly between 1861 and 1881. There is a picture of Pass Houses available on Picture Sheffield.
