    1. Re: [SHEFF] 1871 Census Question.
    2. Hi Mike The family has actually been indexed on Ancestry as Greaves [same as the family next door] and the actual references are RG10/4678 Folio 6B Page 6 Schedule 33 - will send you a copy off list. Best Regards Karen Lightowler Doncaster, South Yorkshire Researching the Sheffield Flood _http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=707305_ (http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=707305) Am going round in increasingly small circles looking for a particular entry in the 1871 Census for Sheffield. I have the source details etc, see below. 1871 UK Census Chester Street RG10/4668 Folios 85, 96 55 Chester Street, Sheffield. William Greatorex (Head)age 42 occ: Publican born Nottinghamshire, England Ann Greatorex age 41 occ none, born Yorkshire George Greatorex age 15 occ, Scholar William Christopher age 12 occ, Scholar John Henry age 9 occ, Scholar Florence Ann age 1 However, I am trying to find them again on Ancestry.co.uk so as to attach them to my family tree on Ancestry. However for the life of me I cannot find them and unlike FreeBmd you cannot put the source information in to help your search. I've tried every which way including going thru the Ecclesall Bierlow districts with no luck though I note that District 7 is not available on Ancestry. Knowing my luck, what I am looking for will be in that district. I've also tried many variations/corruptions of the name but still with no luck. Can anyone help? Mike Greatorex Harrogate, England Looking for all Greatorex's from North Nottinghamshire, Sheffield, Orange Co, NY, USA, Florida and Alabamha, USA. http://www.freewebs.com/greatorexfamily/
