Hi list I have received a marriage certificate today and I cant decipher residence address and wonder if anyone had any ideas. In 1854 at St Mary's Church Parish Church William Benson a brickmaker age 20 who was born in Nottingham married Sarah Booker age 18 from Sheffield. Sarah was living at Suffolk Road at the marriage. On the 1851 census William was living at Meadowhead, not far from Sarah who was born at Norton, so I am assuming William was still living in Sheffield at his marriage in 1854. The letters for his address look like Shg?ifield (I know it looks like Sheffield but I dont think it is as there is only one letter where what I think is 'g' is. I would appreciate any ideas. I am going to scan it into my computer so coud email it to anyone.
