hello, my great, great grandfather HARRY PONSONBY died in No1 Paradise Gardens, Pontefract 1925 He was the only child of ROBERT PONSONBY & MARY nee HALL both of Bakewell, Derby. They married in Manchester 1847, moved to Cardiff, Wales where HARRY was born 1856, back to Bakewell 1861, 1871 they had moved to Settle, 1881 parents were in Sheffield but HARRY was in Pontefract. He was the first in Pontefract or the area with name PONSONBY, so I can say all local PONSONBYs are my relatives, so please get in touch. ROBERT died in Sheffield 1882, then MARY came to Pontefract where she died 1898 HARRY married a local girl HARRIET BAGGAN 1879, they stayed in Pontefract & had 13 children, so very different to his parents.
