Hi Maureen, Thank you for your kind comments re "Sheffield Indexers". A much loved & used site by many Sheffield researchers. Now to answer your questions. Robert Ponsonby's burial information I obtained from the CD by SDFHS on Church of England Burials. The project I believe was part of the NBI. It is an Index and not like our full transcriptions for other cemeteries. So you would need to look at the burial registers for St Thomas, Brightside.......but they didn't usually put much more. Have you checked on FreeBMD for John's marriage it looks as if it took place in Sheffield in 1844 Harriet Thompson. Hope this helps. Can I ask where & why the ? is the site not letting you have full details. Would I be able to search where you found him, for my BAGGAN/BAGGINs. I had always thought JOHN BAGGAN & his brother (both born in Pontefract) had lost their parents, as they were on their own on the 1841 in Pontefract, but could not find their deaths. JOHN (b.1822) stayed in Pontefract & raised seven daughters, but couldn't find his marriage. His brother disappeared too, not on the 1851 in Pontefract, later found him in Sheffield too, widowed with children. Your site www.SheffieldIndexers.com is where I found their parents, with more children in 1841 so did more checking & found JOHN & HARRIET (THOMPSON from Lincoln) had married in Sheffield. So I must congratulate you on a super website, must go back & see what has been added, thank you again, Maureen -----Original Message----- From: Elaine Pickard <trayford@rogers.com> To: eng-sheffield@rootsweb.com; maureenpontefhs@aol.com Sent: Mon, 12 Apr 2010 0:43 Subject: Re: [SHEFF] ROBERT PONSONBY 1826 - 1882 ( BAGGAN/BAGGIN help too ) Hi Maureen, I believe this is Robert.
