Hello I have found burial records of a close relative of my husband - Judith Maureen Vasey who died aged 2 weeks in 1938. She is buried at the City Road Cemetery in consecrated ground Grave no 7641 section U. When I click on the details for other people buried in the grave on the Sheffield Indexers website 58 other people come up all with the same grave number and section. 56 were children who died very young or were still born and 2 were adults in their 70s. It seems that the grave number in section U was some sort of mass grave for children. My question is - will there be individual head stones for each baby or is there perhaps a marker indicating that many babies were buried there without naming them individually?
