Hello everyone, its a while since I have been in touch, but I have a general question that my brother & I are pondering over at the moment. My Dad had an aunt Ellen Hawksworth born 4th April 1894, in Sheffield, and we are trying to trace her death. She went to be a nun at what we believe to be the Carmalite convent at Bradfield and took the name Sister Mary Barbara. My brother has been in touch with the convent and the records show that she went from there to Mansfield & then on to Norfolk. As she sent my parents a "holy picture" by way of a greeting when they married in December 1951 we are looking for a death sometime after this time. Does anyone know if her death would have been registered under her "real name" or religious name (what is the protocol?) Her parents and some of her siblings were buried at City Road with gravestones still intact that my brother has photographed, but she isn't close by.
