Hi All: Here are my interests in the Rotherham area: ROBINSON - ggfather REGINALD ROBINSON (b June 1891)and his brother JOHN (b 1898). Both born in ROTHERHAM UNION WORKHOUSE to ELIZABETH ROBINSON (father unknown, could be John Sr.). Have tried tracing this family thru 1891 census but no luck so far. Have located both Reginald & his brother John on 1901 census as adopted children of the CHARLES MAYCOCK family of KIMBERWORTH. EDWARDS - ggmother LILY EDWARDS daughter of JOSEPH EDWARDS married Reginald Robinson in Rotherham abt 1911. Have located this family on 1901 census. KILBRIDE - ggmother ANNIE KILBRIDE was daughter of MICHAEL JOSEPH KILBRIDE of Ireland and HANNAH MARIA OXLEY of Wakefield. Have info on Michael Joseph's parents as they were living with the family in Wakefield. Have located this family on 1881 and 1901 census. SIMPSON - ggfather SAMUEL SIMPSON married ANNIE KILBRIDE in PARKGATE. Can trace the SIMPSON line back about 200 yrs through Derbyshire & Shropshire. OXLEY - Believe Hannah Maria Oxley's parents to be THOMAS and EMMA OXLEY of Stanley Wrenthorpe but have not yet confirmed this. Need 1861 census info. p.s. Keep up the Good Work Listers! Dad has found a cousin in England who had traced the Simpson line back 200 yrs and had all the paperwork to prove it!!! and also located another cousin in Australia whose father had lost touch with his family in the 1950s!!!
