Hi Malcolm I don't think we have a connection as I'm looking for people a wee bit further back namely:- William CARR of Rotherham who had 5 children in Rotherham between 1732 & 1744 including my ancestor Ellin who married Thomas BANKS on 14th November 1765. The register doesn't give his wife's name - rather frustrating - and he wasn't married Rotherham.
