    3. Hi folks, The following are of interest to me in the Rotherham area ~ Joseph HUNTER - born 1836 at West Melton married Mary ? ? ? (born 1840 in Wickersley) in about 1860/61 in either Wickersley area or Lincoln. Joseph's parents were John HUNTER (born c1800) and Ann ARMSTEAD (born 1808) married 26th September 1825 in Wath on Dearne - Ann was born in Wath on Dearne to Robert ARMSTEAD (born c1780) and Hannah MILNES (born c1780) - Robert and Hannah were married in Wath on Dearne on 2nd June 1806. My Smith research now inludes Tankersley, as I believe that my great great grandfather, John Smith, married Ann BALMFORTH in Tankersley, and went to live in Wentworth!
