Hi all In 'The Star' tonight (Rotherham) there's an article about the National Health & Safety Executive's safety checks on gravestones in Rotherham Cemeteries - hundreds of which have been declared unsafe. It's reported that there are a 'significant' number of dangerous structures in Rotherham Cemeteries and registers are being checked to identify relatives who's responsibility it is to make them safe. The checks started in Psalters Lane Cemetery, Masbrough - and all gravestones which pose a danger are being marked with a yellow sticker and a warning. Many of the dangerous headstones have been laid flat. ------------------- If you have a family grave there - or anywhere else for that matter - and it's found to be unsafe, no doubt you'll be hearing from the HSE. Hope this is of use to someone Tracy Listowner
