Hi Michael Swallownest is a village in the postal area of Sheffield (I believe) - although at some time in the past it may well have come under the Rotherham area. Swallownest lies to the east of Sheffield, within the arc of the M1 between junctions 31-33 - on a map you may find it between Aughton and Aston. If you go to www.multimap.com and type in 'Swallownest' (south yorkshire) I'm sure you will be able to locate it.
