Hi I have Martha GRAYSON as my big brick wall. I can't find her birth record, or anything about her before her marriage. I know she married John Middleton DOWNES in Tickhill, on 9 Jun 1834. their first child Elizabeth was christened at Tickhill 12 Oct 1834, and 12 more children were christened at Wickersley between 1835 and 1857. The marriage record does not give parents names, just both of this parish. I have seen the 1861 census she was age 56, living in Wickersley with her husband and children. Her place of birth is given as Styrup, Notts. I have her on the 1871 census index, she is 57, living in Wickersley and again place of birth is given as Styrup. She was buried at Wickersley, St Albans, on 15th October 1880, age 67. I have check Harworth and Blythe PRs for her christening record but did not find a single GRAYSON.
