Posting my interest, *George Greaves G eorge married Mary Wing a thirty one year old spinster 8th October 1799 in Ecclesfield. Mary the daughter of Thomas and Sarah wing was baptised 22nd Oct 1768 at Tankersley, most probably St Peters Church. The Children of George Greaves I found four children baptised to George and Mary with a possible fifth. George and Mary were living at Tankersley Lane when they were baptising four of their children at St Peters church Tankersley. The baptism register reads: Greaves Richard Greaves Joseph twin children of George and Mary of Tankersley Lane Feb 28 1802. Greaves Mary daughter of George and Mary of Tankersley Lane Oct 7 1804. Greaves William son of George and Mary of Tankersley Feb 22 1807. I found a daughter Elizabeth, baptised to George and Mary at Rotherham, born 5th January 1808 and baptised 7th January 1808. I believe she could be their child but I have not been able to defiantly confirm this yet. George moved his family from Tankersley at some stage after the baptism of their fourth child William; most probably work being the reason. We next encounter George's family living at South Hole, Kimberworth, Rotherham where they appear on the 1841 census.
