    2. Jean Sanders
    3. Sorry for the late reply to the letters on FRETWELL. My server has been down off and on since Sunday and the mail has been spasmodic. I have not yet! received my own letter so I was quite surprised to see replies to a mail I thought had disappeared into cyber space! Many thanks to Tracy for the advice on FreeBDM and to Stanley for the site for FRETWELL researchers. Also to Richard Saunders for a list of Fretwell head of household men in 1851. I hope I haven't missed anyone. I am not sure if I have lost more than my own mailing to the list. Jean in Saddleworth

    2. Hello to all who requested a look up in the Christ Church parish Baptism registers. So far I have looked at the first five registers for Christ Church 1855 to July 1894. 3. I came across the following site which mentions a Jack GREAVES of Rotherham, who served in the 422nd Squadron during WW II: http://www.georgian.net/422sqdrn/422greav.htm Jack Greaves - Rotherham - and others - history of 422 Squadron An address was given: Jack/Mary Greaves 34 Moss Close, Wickersley, Rotherham Yorkshire, England S66 0ET My GREAVES were originally from Rotherham, although my great-grandfather came to the US in the 1860's. I would be extremely interested in contacting any Greaves still in the area. Would someone living in Rotherham be able to check out this address for me to determine whether the family still lives there? Or what became of them? Thank you very much! Mary's marriage may not be included, being born in 1817, if she married before the age of 20 then that's before registration began (in 1837).
