Thankyou Roz, that answer certainly is possible. Some-one else said some people did not want cards of congratulation, as if they did they would have to write a letter of thanks for every one. Have a feeling most people are like us, and just making a guess, but no-one seems to know for sure. My original thought was that some people felt that fancy cards were frivolous and refused on religious grounds, as in Quakers. Its a puzzle !! Regards, Pam in Arizona.
