Or any chance of an 1861 Census lookup for: John COOPER age ~28 Born North Deighton, York, England Ann COOPER Born North Deighton? York, England - suspect relative of John Most likely in Ripon or North Deighton in 1861. Ann married William SEYMOUR (in Ripon) in 1869 and gave birth to their first son, Joseph, 6 months later in Edinburgh (Joseph was rasied by his grandfather in West Keal, Lincs). They then returned to Ripon were Rose and Harriet were born. In 1837 William repeated the trick with his second wife Mary Elizabeth Robinson (second marriage for her as well) producing a second sonm Sydnet Herbert. Mary Elizabeth was also born in North Deighton (no idea of her original maiden name - possibly another Cooper??)
