George William MARTIN = Mary Ann McKEVER 1894 Darlington Durham (George born about 1873 South Cave with father John and Mary Ann born about 1874 Richmond with father John) Children:- Beatrice b about 1895 (possibly Richmond) - (living with her grandparents, John & Emma Martin in Leeds 1901) Frederick b 1897 Richmond Mary Frances b 1899 Richmond John Bernard b 2 Nov 1900 Sunderland George William Martin died during or after the Boer War. At the time of Frederick's birth 1897, he was in the Princess of Wales Own Yorkshire Regiment. It seems that his wife took up with a fellow by the name of John Burke and was living with him in Sunderland in the 1901 census. Two of the children were with their mother, but with the surname BURKE, not MARTIN. Mary Frances MARTIN was living at a different place in 1901 and listed as Mary Frances BURKS born Richmond 1yr old. Has anyone connections with this family? I am looking for descendents - marriages for Beatrice, Frederick and Mary Frances. Beatrice Martin was living with her grandparents in Leeds in 1901 and that is where the rest of the family settled after 1901. My relation is the only child of John Bernard Martin.
