Thanks David, I have North Yorkshire connections, not just Malton, but like everyone else only a few of mine ever appear. The name RIVIS/REVIS and also SLEIGHTHOLME are the main ones I am researching but Fenwick, Carter, Clark, Smith, Bridon and Place are some of the others on my maternal side. My web site is: http://www.andysefton.fsnet.co.uk The Dickens/Malton connection is a coincidence to my email, and I have to admit I had not thought of that when I wrote it, however, there is a bigger coincidence as Dickens was supposed to be a great friend of Smithson, who ran the Malton Messenger and lived at Easthorpe Hall! I also think his brother who was a railway engineer, is also reputed to have lived in Malton at the time the Malton Railway was being built. I am not sure if any of the Dickens family will show up in the BMD's. Thanks for the email. Andy Sefton Pocklington
