As you have no doubt seen in the 1881 census, Solomon is living with a Sarah A. Martin, a stepdaughter, born in Rosset, Flint, Wales. Could Mary Martin be her previous married name, or was she unmarried, at the time of the birth of her daughter? On the 1881 census there is a Mary Martin living in Westoe, C. Durham, married, but only living with a daughter (Mary Ann) and a couple of others. She is listed as married. One of the others is Robert Jones from Swansea. He is listed as married. No wife is shown with him. Could this be worth investigating further. Lancelot Howard Barron Middlesbrough U.K. LBarron Associates U.K. Web Page http://www.barron40.fsnet.co.uk/New_Web/Page_1x.html
