Hi, My GGGGreat grandfather was John Thompson who was born in 1824 in Leeds and moved to Harrogate to start his own business. He had a shop in James Street, John Thompson & Sons. It was a furniture upholsters, Carpets and funeral directors. I have a photo of some of the members of staff who would of worked there. Does any of this ring any bells with any body?
