    3. I know that this may not be strictly related to your query but I am descended from the Egton READMAN families, and have had some really excellent info from St Heddas Catholic church records.Do you know if your family were R.C? Some of these records are available online.I would be very interested to hear more Regards Eloise My READMAN connections are at Lealholm. I have no connection with Scarborough so can not help with the Lookup request. I would like to tap Eloise's knowledge. The only connection I can find about my family and St Heddas is the following entry. " Jane READMAN born 14 April 1868 and baptised same day at home due to imminent death". Jane would have been my GGrandfather's sister. It is the only thing I can find that suggests they were RC. They are buried at the old churchyard at Egton but the Gravestone gives no clue to religion. My GGGrandmother Elizabeth FRANKLAND was born in Whitby but the family moved back to Egton around 1840. Have you, or anyone else any idea which RC church they could have attended at Lealholm? The one at Lealholm is too new and the one at Ugthorpe has no record of them. Graham READMAN
