I agree with Geoffrey, I am lucky and my daughter's in-laws are good friends of ours. It works well that way as you both have the couples interest at heart. Thankfully my daughter's in-laws love her like a daughter. I refer to them as my daughters Mother in law or Father in law. Or use their names to people that know me well. They are both from the North East and are living in the south. That is what makes them so easy to get along with.
