Hello List, Richard STEEL, farmer of Knayton Grange married Eliza Harriet HAMILTON at St Mary's Leake in December 1918. Eliza had been born at Knayton Grange, a daughter of Richard and Emma HAMILTON. Her brother Francis Richard HAMILTON, also a farmer of Knayton, had died the month before and I am wondering if Richard STEEL took over the farm at that time. In the churchyard at Leake St Mary a headstone indicates that Richard, husband of Eliza STEEL of Knayton died in June 1947. Has anyone come across mention of Eliza Steel and/or any children?
