Hi Alison If you type in part of the address into the address search option of www.old-maps.co.uk you can find the full address including post code as a result. "The Address search is a powerful facility which will allow you to quickly locate any modern day British address. Simply select the Address option, enter an address into the search box and submit your search. When entering your address, you should separate each item of the address (e.g. house number, road, town, postcode etc) with a comma (,). You may use any standard abbreviations such as Rd (Road), St (Street) or Ave (Avenue). Searches are NOT case sensitive - any combination of upper or lower case letters is permitted. " EG doing an address search on Castle Museum brings up various addresses as a result. Select the one you want eg the York one and the full address will be displayed.
