    1. [N'Yorks] Taxation, Tithe and Land Records
    2. Michael Harrison
    3. Hello everyone: I would be interested in hearing people's advice on the use of Taxation and Tithe Records for family research. I am paticularly interested in the Egton/Glaisdale area of North Yorkshire and looking for members of the Harrison family. My great -great-great grandfather William Harrison and his wife Mary Hutchinson left for Canada from Whitby in 1831. I need to access some records between about 1790-1831 to figure out who was who (there were many Harrisons in the area). Tithe maps for the area are from around 1841. I would also be interested in hearing from people about the use of land records. Thank you, Michael Toronto, CANADA
