Peter My wife's Shaws were from Egton but there was a branch of the family that moved into Whitby. John Shaw (b.Egton 1784) married Margaret Harrison about 1813 and they lived in Whitby. Their children were Thomas (b.Whitby 1815), John (b.Whitby 1818), Mary (b.Whitby 1821) & Mary Ann (b.Whitby 1823). Any connection ?
