Hello Doreen Spring is in the air in Oakville again after a long cold winter. My William Robinson born 1825 had a brother named Stephen Robinson born in 1822. I have not found a Stephen Robinson in the family of William's father, Joseph Robinson. I had surmised that the name Stephen had come from their mother's side (Ann Pattison) as her father was Stephen Pattison. Stephen Pattison married Margaret Horsley at Felixkirk, North Yorkshire in 1785. I have noticed in the Malton Messenger BMD posted by Andrew Sefton, the name "Botterill". It was at Pexton Boterill's farm in 1850 in Perth County, Ontario that my ancestor William Robinson met his wife Jane Ann Barley who was born at Newby Wiske North Yorkshire in 1835 and had arrived in Canada by 1850. I believe that Pexton Botterill was also from North Yorkshire.
