Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to start looking or not, but I'm trying to research the history of an abandoned farm in the Hawnby and Arden Estate, Far House (SE 517 936) for a geoarchaeology project at Stirling and York Universities. The only reference I have to it so far is from Bulmers 1890 directory of trades and professions that records an Ellen Chapman farming here. OS maps show the property partially roofed by the mid 1970's. Any leads or advice as too where I would be better looking very gratefully received. Many Thanks Clare Wilson, Dept.
