    1. [NYorks] STOREY
    2. Hi list I am trying to get a lead on my STOREYs, the story so far reads. Thomas STOREY , carpenter / wood-cutter was born c1825 in either Thirsk or Coxwold, depending on which census you believe 1851 or 1881.Thomas married Mary COCKFIELD in 1850 in Catterick giving his father as William, a carpenter also. On the 1851index in the same locality to Thomas, Tunstall, there is a Robert STOREY also giving a POB as Coxwold, it is tempting to believe that these two are connected to eachother in some way. Does anyone have any other possible sources of information at their disposal? tia David BEETLES - all HIRD - Bedale, Yarm, Darlington DUR all years THOMPSON - Bedale 19th century, Rokeby / Barningham 18th and before DRUMMER - Bedale and Larne, Ireland all years WALKER - Startforth 18th century, Barnard Castle DUR 18th century EWBANK - Rokeby and Barningham 18th century STOREY -see above COCKFIELD - Catterick / Hipswell all years PEARSON - trying to find a William from Northallerton, married a Margaret Pearson (also), family names include several Shadrachs.
