Elizabeth Fenwick born at Great Edstone, the daughter of Brian Fenwick and Ann Bowes, was my gr gr grandmother as she was married to Simeon Barker of Helmsley in 1827. Their first born son named Brian Barker 1827-1909, who emigrated to Canada in 1851 to live with a Barker cousin named Hannah Arcoat (Harcourt) and her husband Joseph. They lived near Malton, in Peel County, Ontario. Brian married Eliza Darby, born in Ireland, and in 1862 he settled in Perth County, near Stratford, Ontario. Brian Fenwick married to Mary Ann Cross and Francis Bowes Fewwick married to Margaret Peacock came to the same area in Peel County in 1856. Brian and Francis Fenwick were sons of Brian Fenwick and Ann Foxton.
