    3. Would anyone have access to either the 1861 or 1871 census for Northallerton area and would be willing to look up one person for me? I am trying to find whose son Thomas HIRST was, he is shown on the 1881 census aged 26 and I think in the 1901 aged 44 each time living at Hunwick and Helmington DUR but born Northallerton. He would have been born about 1857, so in 1861 he would be about 3 years old and 13 or so in 1871. There were other Thomas Hirsts around at the same time but they were a few years older than this particular Thomas. I had a large family of Hirst in the Northallerton area up until about 1870ish as far as I can tell and this Thomas must fit into this same family but there is nothing to show who his parents might have been. After about 1870 I have found the whole family beginning to scatter themselves about Yorkshire, County Durham and Northumberland. My Gt. Gt. Grandmother Annie Hirst nee RUSSELL, who was born & lkived all her life in Northallerton, I have recently discoverd died in Newcastle in 1887. Some of her children had moved up there. If anyone can help to pin this Thomas Hirst down in these earlier census then I would be very grateful. Are either the 1861 or 1871 census on CD for sale anywhere yet? Thankyou Jenny DeAngelis.Spain Regards Jenny DeAngelis. Spain.
