The 1890 Bulmer's Trade Directory for Middlesbrough showed a "Christopher Ellerton, 35 Nelson Street, South Bank" as running a Grocery shop in Eston. This is almost certainly my George Christopher Ellerton who was described in the 1881 Census as a Grocer. Can any lister who lives in the area tell me more about this shop?
