Some time ago, on one of the northern lists, someone posted an interest in the name MINTOFT (around Kirkbymoorside?) Today I was wandering around All Saints, Hawnby Churchyard (about 15 miles NW of Kirkbymoorside on the North Yorkshire Moors) when I noticed this gravestone - ISABEL wife of JAMES MINTOFT of Arden and daughter of FRANCIS and MARY ANN BRADSHAW, late of Swinton, born April 9 1887. Died July 21 1904 Also JAMES MINTOFT husband of the above died December 23 1914 aged 40 It is an unusual name so I thought I would post it in the hope that whoever it was would see it. I thought about looking in the list archives then realised I have no idea how to find them! Sandra Wilson
