I was told many years ago that there were many BALMER graves in Yarm churchyard. Is it worth a trip to try to find them, or has the graveyard been cleared? There are many other churchyards which may have Balmers, including Great Ayton, Stainton in Cleveland, Lythe and Loftus. Local knowledge on which have been 'improved' would be welcome. - or can one buy the book, save the petrol and miss a great day out?
