Hi Ailsa, I have the marriage certificate of my g.grandmother. (Had great difficulty locating her because of it being a second marriage). The certificate gives the name of her father and occupation but no details of the first marriage. Hope this helps Regards, Ruth

Hello Ruth, Thank you for your reply. It's the second I have had and you both say the same thing! Looks as though I need to think again. What I need is the date and place of her first marriage and the GRO Index has not turned up anything definite to date.
