Dear John, Please forgive my contacting you directly - I have only just started subscribing to the lists and am not quite sure of the protocol. I noticed your message on the list and wondered if you do look-ups for anybody - i.e. would you be able to look up some details on my family in Kirbymoorside and Stillington? If so, do you do this for pleasure or profit in which case I would be happy to pay for your time. You are probably inundated with requests of this nature and I wouldn't like you to go to too much trouble on my behalf. However, I would be grateful for any help you are able to give me. I started tracing my family tree and then recently had to relocate to Glasgow for my husband's job - as you can imagine, my activities in North Yorkshire are now somewhat limited!
