My assumption that the Elizabeth Carlton who marries James Young is the one who is born in 1725 is based on the IGI where she is the only one in Hovingham who fits. Do you have the link independently? Are the Carltons in the Hovingham area for a long period prior to this? My map has Coulton for the neighbouring village, is this your Colton? Do you know anything about Thomas and Elizabeth? Are they among your ancestors? Did you come across James Young anywhere in the district? Sorry about all the questions, very excited by your reply!!
