    3. Hi Ian, Thank you for your message. There are so many surnames repeated in different areas of Yorkshire and none of them ever tie in with mine! One day they will! The 1881 census entry you sent me is a part of my name interest. The age of the child should be 5 months, not years. Another of their sons drowned at the age of 18 at Morton on Swale. I am waiting for a photocopy of the newspaper report on the drowning, inquest and funeral to be sent me from the British Library Newspaper Library. Should be an interesting read. Annie or Anne died just a few months after her son drowned. My other main name interest in North Yorkshire is KILVINGTON. That family lived and farmed at Landmoth in the Leake parish and the children all seem to have married into other farming families in the area on quite large farms.
