Karen and Janice Hi. Yes Karen this indeed could be my HARRISON family. My records are not available to me at present, and I can only look at the 1851 & 1891 census Index and the 1881 census. I don't think that Luke and Elizabeth were Francis' parents --the '51 census 2374 f360 shows ;- Luke 64, b Glazedale, Elizabeth 66, b Irl, Elizabeth 26, b Flambro, Joseph 30 b Leaholm Bridge. Also Whitby '51 at Hawkser [probably Church St] on f 508, Francis 28 b Fylingdales, Elizabeth 28 bWhitby Mary 2 b Fyl, Peter 1 bFyl, Catherine 36 b Hawkser, Edmund 11 b Fyl, John 25 b Skelton. The 1881 census shows Francis and Elizabeth at Church Street, with George, Robert, Morley, Jane appears to be married and is now a LAVEN. Peter age 31 is married with 9 children!! The 1891 census shows on 3994 f 73 -- Francis 68 b Fyl, Morley 22 b Whitby, Laura 22 b Whitby, Elsie M 1 b Whitby. The 1851 index for Fylingdales shows about 70 HARRISONS. But there is one family who could be of interest, f 220 shows -- Frances (m) presume this means male, 71 b Fyl, Mary 67 b Fyl, William 30 b Fyl. Elizabeth HARRISON nee Shaw, Francis William's widow [he died 2nd Q 1888] left Whitby and settled in M'Bro probably about 1895, her children were Mary Elizabeth b 1876, John b 1877, Fanny Robinson b 1878, Ethel b 1880, Eleanor b 1882, Mary Jane b 1885, Francis William b 1887. Regards Peter Shaw.
