I think Richard and John were probably brothers. And I think their father was also Richard. It appears from the IGI that they were Wesleyans and that Richard junior married twice - first to Jane SIMPSON on 5 Aug 1850, then to Mary Ann COULSON on 8 Apr 1862. Both marriages on the Middlesborough Wesleyan Circuit - no idea which chapel. The Eskimo place Mouske must be Marske, as Helen suggests. Was ther am Wesleyan chapel at Marske on the circuit, I wonder. What a brilliant list. Now I must leave you like the Lone Ranger. To join Sussex list where these SHARVELLs seem to have originated in the previous generation. Many many thanks John
