Hello Peter, I have some HARRISON connections close to Whitby - Jane HARRISON, born approximately 1787 at Fylingdales, is my ggg.grandmother - and I don't have any clues about her parentage, as yet. She married John PATTERSON or PATTISON in 1812; their children were born at Staintondale. I don't know of any in Middlesbro and my WOOD family never like the sea! All were farmers, from Kirkby Moorside and Kirkdale, for many generations.
