Hi Ailsa, Brenda Green has a huge collection of directories, and other books of Yorkshire historical interest, in her yorkshireancestors.com library at Ebberston, midway between Pickering and Scarborough in North Yorkshire. Many trade directories and others are now available on CD, www.yorkshireancestors.com for those who are not able to get there!     3. Hello Janice, Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten about that site. I will need to think carefully about purchasing anything, as my budget is of necessity a small one. However, to own certain resources can be a real advantage when we are not on the spot. Brenda's B & B will be high on my list of places to stay if and when we are able to make the trip.
