Hi all, A bit of an unusual request for help this one! I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who also has a subscription with ancestry.co.uk that is any good at reading handwriting! There is a family listed on the 1891 census that are living next door to my ancestors, and for various reasons, I suspect they are in some way related to them. However, whoever transcribed them onto ancestry as got their surname down as CRANE and I think this is incorrect (I can't find any BMD's for these if they are CRANE's nor are they on any other census' under CRANE.) On ancestry if you search the 1891 census by Edward Crane, born 1863 in Liverpool, now living in Yorkshire he should come right up, living with Elizabeth his wife and his children Mary A and John. Not having any "Genealogy friends" I'd really appreciate it if anyone would have a little look at it for me and see what they think the surname might be. Many thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply! Gill
